Fleet Features Claymore at Dover

EX CALMAC FLEET MEMBER CLAYMORE MAKES FOR A TEMPORARY
HOME AT DOVER
In June 2006 ex-CalMac veteran
Claymore
headed south in a surprise charter from her current owners. Pentland Ferries
usually employ her in the winter for there service to Orkney from the mainland.
This leaves her spare for the summer while another CalMac exile, Iona takes
the summer traffic. This year however
Claymore
has been chartered out to a Farmers Co-op to ferry livestock from Dover to
Dunkirk in France. After a inspection by the MCA on the 19/06/06 she made for
the sea later that evening for her first run. A few pictures to follow captured
this unique event...
