CLYDE:
Loch Tarbert sailed for Gigha this morning and took over the roster with
the 1550 sailing to allow
Loch Ranza to head to Ardmaleish to start her overhaul tomorrow. It is
unclear whether Loch Tarbert will be staying at Gigha until Loch
Ranza returns in a couple of weeks' time or whether this is just short
term relief until Loch Linnhe is able to leave Raasay and take over -
as it was originally supposed to be Loch Linnhe covering at Gigha
this year. Loch Ranza left Gigha at 1600 bound for Campbeltown
(arriving at 2300)
WESTERN ISLES:
Hebridean Isles'
0700 sailing was diverted to Port Askaig this morning, as was Isle of
Arran's 0945 sailing. Both were diverted due to the strong winds. This
of course means that the 1400 from Port Ellen will be departing from Port
Askaig instead.
Update: Conditions appear to have deteriorated. Due to a vessel being
unable to berth, the 1720 from Kennacraig to Port Ellen has been cancelled.
Tomorrow morning's 0700 inward sailing is therefore also cancelled.
Loch Striven remains in Mallaig today while engineers have a look at
the technical problem which forced her out of service last week.
Update: She was out on trials off Mallaig this afternoon. |

WESTERN ISLES:
Islay services were disrupted today. The 1300 sailed as normal,
but Isle of Arran's 0945 did not leave Kennacraig until 1345 and was
diverted to Port Askaig. The 1800 sailing from Port Ellen was brought
forward to 1630 and departed from Port Askaig. The 1800 ex Kennacraig was
cancelled. |
