31/10/04 It appears Brenda Corlett (named after her new owners wife) will not be leaving for about 3 weeks or so due to engine room systems. Most of her Lifebelts have had there names changed. She has had minor additions to her superstructure to support sun canopies and the company URL has now disappeared from the hull.
Coruisk arrived on the Clyde yesterday evening for her annual overhaul at Garvel. She is Due to take up Clyde service around the 1st December when she relieves Jupiter. She will be second vessel at Rothesay rather than at Dunoon. She was later today spotted going  for a spin down to Cumbrae and back round the bottom of Bute, right down middle, and back up later on. Also her extensions to her superstructure to allow her to take the gangways on the Clyde have been sighted and ready to fit at Garvel.

30/10/04 Brenda Corlett (ex Pioneer) has now had her company lions removed from her funnels prior to her departure from the Clyde.

Coruisk arrived at Gourock this evening following completion of the summer timetable at Mallaig. She is expected to go in for overhaul sometime soon before going into winter mode and covering on the Dunoon and Rothesay routes.
Lochnevis today left James Watt Dock first for Gourock before proceeding out into the Upper Firth for trials. She then returned to Gourock before setting off for Mallaig where she will resume service.
The Loch Tarbert will be moving up to the Tarbert / Portavadie area on Sunday morning - to take up the service.  The Isle of Cumbrae will then proceed to Rothesay. At the moment - it looks like the Loch Tarbert will leave Lochranza at 0930 hrs. apprx. - to be in Tarbert about 1100 hrs. for the changeover.  The changeover currently is planned to take place at the Tarbert slip - between both the slipway and the East Loch Pier.

Disruption:
Lochranza - Claonaig Service: Due to adverse weather the 1200hrs and the 1315hrs from Lochranza and the return legs at 1235hrs and 1350hrs from Claonaig have been cancelled.
Update: The Lochranza to Claonaig service will resume with the 1430 sailing from Lochranza.

26/10/04 Advance cancellation notice - the 1230 ex Ardrossan and 1350 ex Brodick sailings will not run on Monday 1st November

25/10/04 It is reported that Loch Dunvegan will be receiving new bow and stern ramps during her next overhaul. Her original ones have suffered due to their semi-permanent unfolded operation. Loch Riddon performing relief duties in the Outer Isles, operating between Ardmhor (Barra) and Eriskay. Loch Linnhe was slipped today at Ardmaleish for her annual overhaul. It is anticipated that once she returns to the water she will go of round the network relieving for her fellow Loch Class fleet members. Bruernish is covering on the Tobermory - Kilchoan crossing until Raasay returns from Small Isles relief duties. Lochnevis is expected to return to Mallaig very soon, serving the Small Isles and the twice daily return crossing to Armadale which forms the winter timetable. Coruisk will also be heading down for her overhaul before taking up Clyde winter duties. Isle of Lewis is on route for the Mersey for her overhaul, leaving Clansman covering the Stornoway crossing. Isle of Arran is also to be found in Stornoway at present.

23/10/04 Former CalMac star, Pioneer has now had all her name plates covered over and renamed Brenda Corlett. She currently sits in JWD awaiting her departure from the Clyde to warmer climates. She still however retains her Calmac URL and lions on her funnels as this was being reported. Picture on Pioneer Pages.

Oban - Barra Service
Due to engine problems the 1330hrs sailing to Barra today has been cancelled. The next scheduled sailing will be 0900hrs on Saturday 23rd

21/10/04
Disruptions:
Small Isles Service Today's sailing to Muck and Eigg is cancelled due to a sudden deterioration in weather. Colonsay Service MV Lord of the Isles has turned back from Colonsay , due to adverse weather conditions, ETA Oban 1300. Next scheduled sailing is 1700 Friday 22nd . Armadale Service Due to deteriorating weather the 1440hrs and the 1550hrs sailings from Mallaig have been cancelled.

19/10/04
Isle of Lewis will leave Stornoway 23rd/24th - this weekend - to be in dock on Monday morning  in Birkenhead for 15 days, Clansman will relieve her. Isle of Arran left Port Ellen this morning to lay up in Stornoway, she is due in Stornoway at 2300 tonight. Laig Bay will leave Tobermory for Corpach on Thursday this week to lay up out of the water. Bruernish will relieve Loch Riddon (Tobermory - Kilchoan) on Thursday, Loch Riddon will head for Barra to relieve Loch Linnhe - Loch Linnhe will then head for the Clyde for docking on the 25th.

16/10/04 Loch Riddon is to sail for Barra on Sunday (tomorrow) to let Loch Linnhe away for her annual overhaul.
Disruption: Oban - Lochboisdale sailing. Due to exceptionally low tides at Lochboisdale, the 0900hrs sailing from Oban will be delayed until 1100hrs.

14/10/04 Isle of Arran was running half an hour late into Port Ellen in the morning due to an abnormal load. Later she was seen at Kennacraig stern loading - having previously offloaded traffic (including 2 SoC reporters) via the bow. She left Kennacraig twenty five minutes late bound for Port Askaig.

13/10/04

Lord of the Isles delayed her departure for one grateful late arriving passenger at Castlebay, and then again at Lochboisdale whilst a canine stowaway was removed from the vessel and presented to its owner! Loch Riddon was identified on the Kilchoan crossing - presumably it was her that we saw on Monday and Loch Linnhe was on her way to Eriskay on Sunday when she was missing... Bruernish is back in Oban Bay after her overhaul, she left Corpach 09.10 this morning for Oban and will sail for Tobermory to take over at Kilchoan until Raasay returns from Mallaig. Extremely high tides at Colonsay and Port Askaig caused loading disruptions, with passengers leaving Lord of the Isles via the car deck.

12/10/04 Loch Linnhe is currently covering for Loch Bhrusda on the Eriskay - Ard Mhor (Barra) sailing and was subject to very rough seas on the last crossing this evening. Presumably Loch Bhrusda is away for repairs or on overhaul on the Clyde. Lord of the Isles arrived over half an hour late into Castlebay this evening.

11/10/04 Raasay was seen from Kilchoan heading out of the Sound of Mull. A Loch Class vessel is operating the Kilchoan crossing. Eigg also made a surprise contribution at Craignure today, loading excess Mull Rally traffic for Oban.

10/10/04 Loch Linnhe was absent from Tobermory today. Presumably she is off covering for Lochnevis at Mallaig. Later this afternoon, Raasay was spotted from Lord of the Isles lying at the buoy in Tobermory Bay. At this point we assume she is going to cover on the Kilchoan run. Loch Fyne has been sailing full all day with Rally traffic leaving the island via Fishnish due to all sailings from Craignure being fully booked. Lord of the Isles made an additional call at Craignure on her return leg from Coll and Tiree to Oban to help clear traffic.

09/10/04 It was reported that Caledonian Isles missed her first two sailings to Arran due to technical problems today. Also suffering technical problems was Juno on the Dunoon crossing. As a result, she was using her port side ramp at Dunoon and offloading passengers via the car deck. Around 8.30pm Raasay arrived in a flat calm Oban Bay.

06/10/04 Both Clansman  and Lord of the Isles are doing a extra sailing each from Craignure to clear traffic from the Mull car rally. Clansman will do hers inward from Outer Isles (13.45 ex Craignure) and Lord of the Isles inward from Coll & Tiree (15.45  ex Craignure)
Lochnevis  will berth overnight at Mallaig on Monday night. On Tuesday she will head for Garvel Dry Dock for annual overhaul (to be dry docked on Wednesday morning).
Disruption: Colonsay - Islay Service The 1500 sailing from Oban-Colonsay-Islay has been cancelled due to MV Lord Of The Isles operating a dealyed sailing from South Uist - Barra.
Rathlin - Ballycastle Service Due to the adverse weather conditions the 09.00 sailing from Rathlin and the 10.30 sailing from Ballycastle have both been cancelled.
NorthLink: All sailings Arriving and Departing as normal.

04/10/04 Following her brief spell relieving on the Cumbrae run recently, Bruernish is now reported to be at Corpach for her annual overhaul
