LOCHNELL - holding on...

An update from SoC website viewer Mike Bremner shows the current state of the former MacBraynes vessel currently resting at Iron Wharf boatyard in Faversham. Sadly it appears work has halted on her restoration however the news that she remains in some shape is positive. You can visit her updated profile here:

Thanks for sharing the update on LOCHNELL. It’s disappointing to hear that the restoration has stalled, but at least she’s still in a condition where future work is possible. Mike Bremner’s photos give a clear sense of her current state, and it’s good to know she hasn’t deteriorated beyond hope. Projects like this often move slowly, but with the right support, there’s always a chance for revival.

Appreciate the link to her updated profile—always interesting to follow the progress of these historic vessels. And if anyone ever needs help with assignment related to maritime history or restoration topics, feel free to ask—I’m always happy to help.

The ship looks to be the 1947 Loch Seaforth and not Lochmor
