In 1989 Suilven did her first stint away from her home run (Ullapool - Stornoway) when she swapped places with the Isle Of Mull and took over the Craignure service for a few days. She partnered Pioneer whilst the Isle of Mull served Stornoway with her extra passenger capacity required for the National MOD.
