I joined the Merchant Navy in 1970 and the Loch Carron was my first ship. I started as catering boy and catered for 9 crew under Captain Black, also 4 passengers. We carried livestock and mail to Outer and Inner Hebrides. A lot of fond memories of these beautiful Scottish Islands.
