MV LORD OF THE ISLES left Aberdeen at 03:22 this morning and appears to have carried out sea trials southbound in the North Sea as far south as Stonehaven. She then turned about, showing Lochboisdale on AIS, but turned about again just north of Peterhead and, after a few manoeuvres returned to Aberdeen. In all, she was at sea for over 13 hours. It would appear that the vessel may have developed a problem on passage.
Port engine trouble apparently, so has returned to Aberdeen. Lochboisdale service cancelled till Monday so far.

Fleet renewal plans: Isle of Arran, Isle of Mull and Isle of Lewis to retire in the next year, Hebrides to Coll/Tiree. Presumably Clansman to Castlebay, Finlaggan as spare.
Will MV CALEDONIAN ISLES transfer to Oban - Craignure once MV GLEN ROSA is on station at Troon?

But the troubled vessel's return to service lasted for just one return crossing before the weather intervened, with CalMac announcing there will be no further sailings at all Friday/Saturday. but with his rotten upseting news, Caledonian Isles suffered at the hands of the weather too, with her sailings friday/saturday being cancelled stormbound at Ardrossan, the irish berth total closed.

Loch Indaal is now transmitting on AIS from the builder's yard in Turkey.
When she begun transmitting on AIS a few weeks ago, she was spelled LOCKINDAAL rather than the correct LOCHINDAAL. Hopefully this'll be fixed before delivery
No idea but she is still alongside in Turkey and hasn't moved since late September. Can't see her sailing this side of Christmas unless they want to spend Christmas on the voyage.
