Lochnevis is at Greenock for repairs and, probably, overhaul as well. Loch Riddon is heading south from Oban leaving Tobermory without a vehicle service.

Isle of Arran will be operating Ardrossan to Brodick. Glen Sannox is getting the vidrations investigated and possibly visiting other areas to check where she can operate. No idea what Alfred is doing.

Update on Arran Services

We are working with the Original Equipment Manufacturer to resolve a pitch control issue with MV Caledonian Isles. Works are progressing as a priority to resolve these issues, which may require the vessel entering dry dock.

Isle of Cumbrae; Millport Classic Car meet 21/06/2025

Lots of classic cars aboard when I was on MV Isle of Cumbrae from Largs to Cumbrae Slip yesterday, Some Triumph TR4s, TR6s, a Terraplane, a Rover 200 series convertible and a MGF over that day MV Isle of Cumbrae & MV Loch Shira had aboard several Ford Mustangs, A DeLorean DMC 10, a Wartburg 353 (From the former East Germany) several Ford Capris, A Vauxhall Carlton GSi 3000, an Australian Ford Falcon muscle car, several Rolls Royces to name but a few.

An update from SoC website viewer Mike Bremner shows the current state of the former MacBraynes vessel currently resting at Iron Wharf boatyard in Faversham. Sadly it appears work has halted on her restoration however the news that she remains in some shape is positive. You can visit her updated profile here:

Largs & Millport News: Plans lodged to upgrade ferry infrastructure on Cumbrae

North Ayrshire council have shown plans of the replacement ferry slip for Cumbrae. There’s going to be in the development a new terminal building, a vehicle marshalling area, a passenger waiting area, and a bus stop lay-by.
