In 2008 Lochnevis completed her morning sailing round the Small Isles and then left Mallaig during the early afternoon and made for an overnight berth at Craignure. Loch Bhrusda took the second round trip, leaving Mallaig at 1425, Eigg at 1605, Muck at 1655, Canna at 1935 and Rum at 2105. She finally got back to Mallaig at 2230. She was partnered by the chartered Ullin of Staffa for the next few weeks. A similar set up had continued ever since, when Lochnevis requires overhaul.
