Introduce yourself 👋
Hi all, since this is the relaunch of our forum, it would be great for us all to reintroduce ourselves and a write bit about your background or interest in CalMac.
I'll cast off with the first post...
I have had a long lasting interest in CalMac and the Western Isles for 30 / 40 years now having been taken on family holidays to pretty much every Western and Northern isle annually if not more. This continued onto building a hobby from this website back in 2001 with the help from a group of friends and enthusiast's.
I lived on the Isle of Mull for a while and had daily interactions with all the ferries on the island.
To this day I still travel at least annually on a CalMac ship and set this website up to preserve not just a way of life but to keep it all in the public domain - a site created and edited by all.
...oh and if you didn't already know, my favourite all time vessel was MV PIONEER!
Looking forward to meeting you all again and welcoming new members aboard!
